After ATM Search and fuel stop we went to the border with Botswana. Before and behind us were a lot of grad (20 Maui-Mobile, to be exact) living at the border post at Mobile. We already have insurance and Roadtax and knew how to do it, we were able to quickly Tax Refoundstelle further. Since we had to wait a little longer (and write on each receipt for our names and addresses). Now we should but the money will be sent by check. After a long gabs Teerstrassenfahrt to Francistown. Here we want to blog and shop. In the Hotel Marang "we found a good campsite (that night, unfortunately a bit crowded, the German Womo Group is also here).

fill up after a short stocks, we sat in the Internet cafe and blogging (tried). I had to remove a lot of pictures from the last South Africa text so I could upload it. The downloads (Virenprogi, emails and such) did not go as desired, so we exasperated after four and half hours tasks. In the evening there were two German motorcyclists to chat (they want to travel the east coast, but have to fly home even before and then come in three to four months).

to the junction in the Pan's on good tar road 220 km west. Then followed a few km gravel road before the track was getting smaller and soft sand. In between, we sailed across the treacherous salt pans. We are only something broke in and were able to throttle just going on without getting stuck to. The pan is made of dried Salz-/Sandschlamm and underneath is still soft. It can happen that you break and then übelst stuck. Kubu In Iceland we camped right under a Baobab.

The camp is extremely expensive (100 Pula / person) and has nothing (outdoor toilet, no water or otherwise as Bush Camp). Unfortunately, too many hats flying, so the decision is made quickly, just go to-morrow.

The 100 km to Gweta were like yesterday the last 50 km. We needed 4 hours ...

In Gweta we then inflated tires and drove on the tar road towards Nata. With the "Nata Lodge, we have found a cheap (55 Pula / P) and good accommodation. The camp is a little "jungle" because the lodge burned down in Aug 08, but the system is therefore quite new and clean. We sat by the pool for a while before we ate cooked, and went to bed.
