13/06/2009 Around Spitzingsee & Elendstal was on this day our first real mountain bike ride on the program. Strengthened by our experience in Winterberg we ventured with rental bikes to adventure. First stop after about 5 kilometers was the Forsthaus Valepp. Until then, though we went only downhill, but the fear of the coming increases had already made us hungry.
The coffee and cakes were perfectly justified that began shortly after the 25% slopes.

moved down the eternal, from time to time there came a stream that we had to cross courageous. On the other side of the mountain range gabs at the next stop. From here we followed a small trail through the woods to us to then proceed.

a vigorous indigenous senior but showed us the way to Josefstal, the old Spitzingseestraße. There were no cars, but hell rises. Also arrived at the first signs of fatigue.
ended somewhere in the way Nirvana, after we had sent out a scout who said firmly, behind the trees it goes on, we pushed our bikes the last few meters to the top.

Eventually we reached the Spitzingseesatel and were able to cycle back through the last meters to Spitzingsee. In the last hundred meters to one of the bikes broke another chain pin.
