How Long Does It Take For Jyp To
Thursday 17.09.2009, 254 km
The laundry last night, we have now hung up in the car and shop to Hluhluwe and get some money went. From there, everything on top tar road directly to the border in Golela. The stamps we had quickly, the Roadtax is R50, and we were in Swaziland. Again, the roads are very good.
Thus we reached the "Hlane Royal NP" as early as two. We booked two nights at the "Ndlovo Camp" and later went like a first time on game drive. Unfortunately the cheetahs and lions in a separate part of the park. How to book a guided tour, we would need more than to see antelope.
Sun gabs today first to see "only" Impala, Nyala, Wildebeest, Moschusböckchen and warthogs.

Gamedrivetag - We drove around all morning in the park and saw yesterday, many antelope. When we in the afternoon to the waterhole at the camp were there were all great "horror" gathered - Elephant, rhinoceros and hippopotamus:
All in all, but we were somewhat disappointed by the "Hlane NP". The advertising promises as much more ...

This morning we drove to Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary ". This is the Park, the Ted Reiley (the father of the "Big Game Park in Swaziland) was founded as the first added. We booked two nights here and looked at times in camp. The "Ablutionblock" (toilet and shower) is a little far away, but otherwise quite ok songwriter. Later we took a small round "game drive". We were on the 4x4 route on the grounds and it was quite amusing (although few animals, but that beautiful "offroad"). On the way back we made a detour to the "Reiley Rock" (inner fenced area of the park), where we personally met Ted Reiley (he f & # 228; leads Incidentally, a Toyota Land Cruiser J4 :-)) and also a few light stone and some antelopes oribi saw.
Later in the camp we visited three Nyala.
two Dutchmen with a Defender also arrived yet, they are the other route, 1.5 years ago and were now down in East Africa. Now they have two more weeks to go until the car by container and by plane home.

from ten to eleven, we have now rented mountain bikes and are thus on Game Drive. It's about the time quite warm and we got a good sweat. We saw zebra, impala, nyala, blesbok and a large crocodile. Unfortunately we had no camera with me.
then we did laundry and sat around the rest of the day.

A black day - first we lost on the way to the border, the radio antenna, and then I'm in Nelspruit in the supermarket parking lot when reversing a small car to overlook. The now has a nice dent and I have a few scratches in the bumper. We then exchanged addresses and I hope that which ended in Namibia liability insurance covers the damage (is a South African insurance that covers all countries in Southern Africa). Then we looked for a campsite (Camping Safubi has no more) and finally landed in the "Nelspruit Backpackers". Here in Nelspruit we now make a few errands before it goes into the Kruger National Park.

In the rain, we packed up and went to Howick. As we have looked at the Howick Falls and purchased.
After we went to Pietermaritzburg. Since I get a new carnet de passage, we are looking for the DHL office. With the carnet we went to the "Sleepy Hollow Backpackers, where we are quartered for three nights.

Today we got at the post three cardboard boxes to unnecessary things and souvenirs to send home. We then rearranged the car, clothes packed away (in the Backpackers) and packages.
Saturday, 12/09/2009
The packages we have today sent off in the Checkers and we have made a purchase. Otherwise, we are sitting in the sun and read.

Since the gate of the backpackers we had yesterday broke it open by hand today, so we could get out. We went over land (by Wartburg, where I was five years ever) down to the coast. On the N2 we went quickly to St. Lucia. We camp one night in the "Bibs Backpackers' (is a bit run down).

Today, we have relocated the first time (the BiBs is too expensive). We are now on the "Sugarloaf Camping" the NP government. Although something is getting on in years, but cheap. Then we made a game drive to Cape Vidal and saw some animals (waterbuck, nyala, bushbuck, red duiker, buffalo, hippopotamus, rhinoceros, Vervet Monkey and Monkey Sangoma):
At four we went aboard a cruise ship, and marveled at the hippos and crocodiles from the water:

On to the next Park: We are now a "Hluhluwe Backpackers" (read: Schlu-Schlu -we) just outside the gate of the same NP down. Since we were already there at noon, we made clothes. Tomorrow we will then in the park on game drive.
night gabs Backpackers behind the bush fire, but the locals said that it was safe because it had firebreaks:
We unfortunately had to take in the laundry quickly because otherwise everything would smell like smoke and full of ashes.
Wednesday, 09/16/2009, 106 km
In the morning we first hung the laundry again, and then drove into the park. It has quite a few animals, but we will of course still "cats" ;-) see
white rhino, zebra, nyala, waterbuck, giraffe, warthog, buffalo and many birds ...
For lunch we ate at the restaurant of "Hilltop Camp" (unfortunately no camping). Again in the evening washing done and hung up overnight. Tomorrow's is now Swaziland.

Athletic Court Sweeper
We are now back from our Baltic tour. Everyday life has us again, for this reason we have not, unfortunately at the moment to write down the time and muse of our experiences in recent weeks.
To give you but to keep them happy, to have a first here are some impressions ...
exit from Latvia ...
... and at the same entrance to Estonia ...
sunset at the Estonian Baltic Sea coast ...
Kaali meteorite impact on the Estonian island of Saaremaa ...
overview of the island of Saaremaa ...
job change complacent?
Russian legacy in Haapsalu.
Here we go in Finland!
And this is a Finnish Café!
Finnish flora and fauna ... In some places a bit too large.
Little Ferry from Finland to Sweden ...
A considerable part of the ferry was for the sale and consumption of Alcohol reserved. Why always ;-)
But the passengers were eventually anyway seeeehr frugal ... What has probably lying?
In Sweden you can apparently make a bike path marking in gold ... At the same time also the only bike-friendly gesture in that country ....
Swedish idyll!
The reason for the abrupt end of our tour. Well, a carrier may have simply fall apart Sun Pf .. But how well that as a business information always and everywhere has this tie!
